What do Beavers do?

Beavers are our youngest section, and their activities are all about trying new things, making friends, and having fun. We offer a balanced programme of indoor and outdoor activities to help children develop character and learn new skills.

Beavers Exploring Outdoors

Nature & Exploration

Bug hunting, nature walks, plant and animal identification, and making simple bird feeders from bread, peanut butter, and seeds.

Bushcraft Basics

Den building, learning trail signs, and safe, supervised campfire activities like backwoods cooking (making chocolate bananas!).

Active Challenges

Scavenger hunts, treasure hunts, obstacle courses, bike hikes, and classic games like "Squirrel and Fox" and "Tail Grab".

🎨 Indoor Fun

Beavers Indoor Crafts

Crafts & Creativity

Painting, mask making, creating totem poles, paper marbling, or making monster bookmarks while working towards their Creative badge.

Team Games

High-energy indoor games like "Mousetrap," "Rocket Relay," "Musical Chairs," and circle games to build teamwork and burn off energy.

Skills for Life

Learning basic first aid (Emergency Aid badge), simple cooking, trying out circus skills, and themed nights about world cultures and STEM.
